F1 vs. F1B Bernedoodles

Both make wonderful family companions — the difference is in the mix, which shapes coat type and shedding. Toggle below to see how the blend changes.

F1 Bernedoodle: 50% Poodle, 50% Bernese Mountain Dog. Typical adult weight 60–80 lbs. The classic 50/50 first cross — a typically wavy coat and hybrid vigor.

Coat type and adult size vary from puppy to puppy — even within a litter. These are typical ranges, not guarantees.

Our F1B litters come from our F1 Bernedoodle dams Queenie & Honey paired with our Parti Poodle stud Jacob — with our first litter expected in early 2027. Down the road we plan to bring F1 Bernedoodles back alongside a future Bernese Mountain Dog dam.
